Raptor Farm Help (specific)
So I visited PvX and watched the youtube video on Raptor Farming. After practicing for a couple of days, I'm still killing Rekoff only about 25% of the time.
Sometimes I get trapped in the run and never get to rekoff but not very often (about 5% of the time.)
Sometimes after running a bunch I start to lose some of the pack so not enough raptors are left for me to kill rekoff. (about 10% of the time) I think this happens when I run too far to the rekoff end of the cave.
Most of the time, however, I manage to kill every raptor but rekoff. Sometimes Rekoff is barely scratched. I know Rekoff needs to be standing right next to the mark of pain raptor, so I think that is what is going on. How do I get Rekoff to end up next to the mark of pain raptor.
I know I'm supposed to scrape along a wall to force the raptors closer together, but which wall works best. If I run too long I end up in the 10% situation above.

for the losing aggro problem the only things I could think off are: Incoming / Fallback (YOU DO NOT WANT A 33% IMS FOR AGGROING RAPTORS) the other problem could be that you are doing this farm in Normal Mode. I see no other reasons for raptors to lose aggro.
and for the not killing part need to tell us you'r build and which runes on armor etc.

"Make Haste!" Shout. For 5...17...20 seconds, target other ally moves 33% faster. This skill ends if that ally successfully hits with an attack.

That is exactly the build I am using, Calista. The losing agro doesn't happen most of the time. That only happens about 10% of the time.
The main problem is me killing all the raptors but Rekoff, with Rekoff having some or most of her health still left. I think the issue is getting Rekoff directly next to the mark of pain raptor, but I guess I'm noob at this so I can't be sure.
As for equipment, I match what's listed in PvX. I have the Knight's Insignia on my armor. The +30 hp shield. The vigor and absorption runes. The swordsmanship and strength runes.
Oh, and I'm using the full recommended build. I use Hayda for my paragon companion.
And this is what it looks like. All raptors are dead but Rekoff.
That time all raptors in the cave except one were aggroed and killed, and as you can see Rekoff has most of her health. Often I get all the raptors dead (none missed) but Rekoff is sitting there at 80% health after my spike.

I'm pretty sure having both Make Haste and Incoming on you at the same time is what is causing you to lose aggro. Try having only one on you at a time. As for why you can't kill Rekoff, I have no idea. You are using a sword, right?

OK. Sources of your problems. Raptors breaking aggro:
1: You have Fall Back/Incoming on you at the same time as Make Haste. Make sure Fall Back/Incoming have expired on you before you cast Make Haste.
2: You're running too far into the cave. With a 33% IAS, monsters will still eventually break aggro in HM.
By the screenshot, Rekoff has taken some damage. This damage has come purely from 100b, not MoP. This can happen for 2 reasons:
1: MoP has run out on the raptor by the time you finish aggro (unlikely, since it last 30s)
2: MoP only affects adjacent foes. This means Rekoff isn't adjacent. This can happen if the Raptor with MoP is on the other side of you to Rekoff. Once you aggro the boss group, run over to a side directly away from both the cursed raptor and Rekoff, this should fix it.

^ this. MoP ran out.
I had this problem before, I placed the boss with the others raptors on wall like many of the other farm out there. Changed my headset to the wiki spec, sometimes boss just doesn't die.
In fact, I was doing it too carefully and MoP just ran out. The build works most of the time when u just run into a wall, doesn't even need that one or two steps next to the wall. And with FH on the bar, even 12 swordmanship works.

MOP running out is the cause. Count it out when you cast. one, two, three, and so on.... to 30 seconds, you will see that it is very hard to ball up all of the raptors up in 30 seconds if they are spread out! I still miss her about 5 to 10 % of the time...

no, its easy. Forget the scrap wall thing, forget the 1 or 2 raptors too far to get. Run and grab whatever u can, run to a wall with most of the mobs on one side. BAM! boss doesn't die? hit FH and it does now.

You need to make sure the entire mob is settled on you, then most of the time the boss is adjacent to the hexed raptor.
I run a more defensive bar that gives you more time for the mob to settle.
Take out dolyak sig for soldiers defence, take out all STR, 8+1 tactics.
Take any r9 tactic shield with it. (10v piercing is perfect)
Make sure your paragon runs stand your ground, so you can sub out dolyak sig.

I wasn't thinking about the duration of mark of pain at all! Thanks so much, I'm pretty sure that is it. I need to do some experimenting now in reducing time. I really appreciate the advice!
Update: I just tried the combination of counting down from 30 together with avoiding running all the way to the back of the cave. Got four successful Rekoff kills in a row! I probably still need practice, but my main problem seems much better.

I'm pretty sure it isn't expiring, 30 seconds is pretty long.
If you want to be certain, keep the hexed raptor targeted.

The cooldown of Mark of Pain is 20 seconds. If you watch the cooldown and take care that you hug the wall before cooldown is over, than you should succeed always.
Just watch cooldown while aggroing and be shure to have all aggro inclusive boss before cooldown is over. Then you have another 10 seconds to ball up all foes and wary stance+whirlwind.
